Misty’s Stable is a beautiful, newly converted holiday cottage which sleeps TWO people in spacious comfort!! (It used to be the pony–Misty’s-stable!)

Misty’s Stable has JUST been awarded 4 stars with Gold award pending!–on Shropshire Tourism’s website!

It is centrally heated via a lovely Red Rayburn cooker with lashings of hot water at your disposal.

Misty’s Stable is an ideal romantic hideaway! It is quiet and very pretty with some stunning views!!

Entrance Hall

It is fitted with oak floorboards and has a pine and chrome staircase with “paddle stairs” which are lit with LED lighting to the Galleried room.There are coat hooks for your use beside the front stable-door.

A door beside the front stable-door opens to lead down to the Super-king-sized (6 foot bed) bedroom via another chrome and pine hand-railed oak LED lit stairway.


The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher,combi-microwave with grill, washing machine/dryer, large fridge/freezer and a lovely red gas-fired Rayburn, Dualit kettle and toaster!
There is an oak-shuttered window with views across the fields to Pattingham church.

Shower “Bathroom”

There is a large glass partitioned walk-in shower.  A toilet with slow close lid,  and a built-in wash-basin with storage cupboard below housing the shaver/toothbrush point. It is fully tiled with Travertine large tiles. It is a very modern room with large shower head and also a hand-held shower head for your use. There is a heated chrome towel rack and plenty of light created by Down-lighters. There is a magnifying mirror for shaving/make-up. A slow-opening electric extractor fan is fitted for your comfort.

Downstairs Bedroom

The beautiful oak-beamed “super-king-sized” bedroom is accessed down oak LED-lighted stairs, with beautiful chrome and pine bannisters.

It has a wall-mounted flat-screen digital TV.

There are two bedside tables with lamps and a large chest of drawers.

Some hanging space is available in the understairs cupboard–with space for shoes, suitcases  etc.

A full-length mirror is situated by a power point for hairdryer use–supplied.

There is a glass-paneled door to the outside with oak shutters and an oak shuttered window.

The “super-king sized” bed is “zip-linked” so can be separated to make 2 good sized single beds if required.

The bed is made up in crisp white quality percale linen–so luxurious and comfortable!

The bedding is anti allergy–pillows too!

P.S.—–There IS an upstairs galleried bedroom for that occasional  night when a snoring partner may cause annoyance!! PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN SINGLE BEDDING IF YOU REQUIRE USE OF THIS ROOM!!! (this room is approached via “paddle stairs” which require agility and extra care when using.)


Fluffy large towels are supplied for your use–one bath sheet and one bath sized each. . Tea towels and hand towels also supplied.


There are beautiful views to the front garden and paddock. Pattingham church and village can be viewed across the fields from the kitchen window.
There is a ground floor glassed door-accessed from the front drive to the bedroom.
Both the door and the windows have oak shutters.

Sitting Room / Lounge

There is a lovely, oak floored sitting room/lounge with a rug and curtained French doors, through which the sunset can be seen!
There are two sofas for your comfort, a dresser, 2 touch sensitive reading lights and 3 occasional tables.

Wildlife Sightings

The Sitting Room/Lounge French door leads to the outside with a fantastic view of the paddock where you will see a myriad of wild life!!—pheasants, partridge, rabbits, woodpeckers etc. A bird-bath is also visited regularly by the many wild birds that visit the area! Foxes and badgers have also been sighted and there are often hedgehogs scuttling about at night!

At present there are three ponies in the paddock beside the property!!–Molly is in foal!! Maria and Angie keep a watchful eye on her as her due time approaches!

Gas Log Fire

In the corner of the sitting room there is a gas-fired log effect fire providing comfort on chilly evenings.It is set into a large stone fireplace with oak beam over.


The flat-screen digital TV is wall-mounted.

There are oak floorboards throughout –with the exception of the conservatory which has a vinyl floor.

There is a DVD player in the dresser drawer for your use.


There is a lovely large comfortable centrally heated conservatory with two sofas and dining table at the rear of the house. It also has a central ceiling fan for your comfort.
The sun sets through the french doors overlooking the paddock.
A seating area with table is positioned to the side of the property which can be accessed from these French doors.

BBQ Area

Up some stone steps to the rear of the property there is a small lawn and a secluded, walled-in, graveled barbecue area with rattan furniture–(in good weather)– also a built in bench and built-in barbecue.
An inflatable hot-tub can be made available for your use on request (extra charge applies)
The sun sets can be viewed from the hot-tub and seating area–!!

There are electric lights on the corners of the wall for evening use!

Outdoor Leisure Room

A games/ outdoor clothing/welly-boot room is accessed via some stone steps outside and is equipped with a “cross trainer” and a football table (full-sized)—you could also store your own bicycles if you should wish to bring them!
2 Electric bikes are available to hire!—-(£40 for the week for BOTH bikes!) but they really are FUN!)


The cottage is situated in a small hamlet called Kingslow, about 2 miles from the village of Pattingham, 7 miles from Bridgnorth.

Misty’s is set back from a small,quiet lane. It is approached via a large, gated, graveled driveway with plenty of parking space.

It has a large front lawn with mature trees (boasting an aged Conker and Lime tree!) and a goldfish pond.
The front stable-door, with pretty porch, is approached via stone steps beside a flowery rockery.
There is also a slope as an alternative approach to the right-hand side of the front door.

Electric Bikes!

If desired electric bicycles can be hired from us for the duration of your stay for an extra charge(£40). (A deposit is also required which is returnable at the end of your stay—when we receive the bikes back!)

We live just down the road so we are usually available to help whenever needed!


Pattingham has a Co-op/Post office for your day-to-day grocery needs and also a good butcher and chemist.
The nearest large supermarket is in Bridgnorth or Wombourne or Perton.

Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Ocado all deliver here–so order your groceries and have them delivered for your stay!!
