There is Patshull Park Golf course–half a mile away, complete with fishing too!
Chesterton Golf course is very close-by and MANY more!.

There are tennis courts in Pattingham.

There is a lovely outdoor pool open during the Summer months at nearby Swancote–on the Bridgnorth road.
BRIDGNORTH Leisure Centre has an indoor public swimming pool.


IRONBRIDGE with the famous Bridge, the “Silkin Way” and “Blists Hill Museum”, Tea rooms, and shops etc is only a few miles away.
BRIDGNORTH, which is a beautiful bustling small town with weekly markets (On Saturdays and a small Farmers Market under the Town Hall on Fridays)
FUNICULAR RAILWAY!-It is also very well worth visiting, a real “must”! It provides access from Low town to High town.
BRIDGNORTH STEAM RAILWAY—catch the train all the way to Kidderminster or Bewdley and back. Or you could go just one way and walk back beside the river—really lovely!
BRIDGNORTH also hosts Jazz and other Music and Arts festivals and has a fabulous small theatre– “Theatre on the Steps”
SHREWSBURY is another beautiful historical town with a splendid castle, a stunningly pretty railway station, river boat trips and all the usual large shops and also many small independent shops. Some great eating places too!
It also has it’s own Theatre set on the river Severn’s banks.
SHREWSBURY FLOWER SHOW held in the Summer is a really good day-long show complete with a firework finale!–another “must”!!
COSFORD AEROSPACE MUSEUM is also very local and well worth visiting.
Its Air Day in July is spectacular! Make a date of it!
MUCH WENLOCK is a pretty small town with an abbey to visit which offers guided tours.
BOSCOBEL HOUSE is another great visitor attraction where there is a lot to learn about King Charles 1.
THE BLACK COUNTRY MUSEUM–a really good day out–stepping back in time to experience yesteryear in the Industrial Midlands!

HALFPENNY GREEN VINEYARD–Local wines–luscious!–Cafe–also good home-made meals to take away–frozen. Craft/varied shop units also on site.

APLEY FARM SHOP–Cafe-Playbarn-Toy-shop-Farm shop/deli–also purchasable frozen food/meals–delicious!

If walking/cycling is your choice of activity, there are a lot of canals with long tow-paths, around the area, and the stunning Long Mynd and Brown Clee are not too far away if you want to ramble in the hills!

The River Severn has a lovely footpath alongside–accessible in Bridgnorth. Stunning!

There are plenty of “take away” establishments in Albrighton/Shifnal/Compton/Bridgnorth — from Pizzas to Thai,Chinese and Indian, and good-old Fish and Chips!!

Misty’s Stable is also surrounded by many pubs which are only a short journey (the nearest is just about 2 miles away!)
